Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until combined. The dough will be crumbly at first but will come together as you mix.
Fold in the sprinkles until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
