Mini Orange Mince Pies Recipe

- 200 g plain flour
- 100 g cold butter, cubed
- 50 g icing sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoon cold water
Filling
- 300 g mincemeat
- 1 zest of orange
Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan) or 400°F.
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Add the icing sugar, egg yolk, and water, and mix until the dough comes together. Wrap in cling film and chill for 15 minutes.
Roll out the pastry on a floured surface and cut out circles to fit your muffin tin. Press the circles into the tin.
Mix the mincemeat with the orange zest and spoon into the pastry cases.
Cut out smaller circles or stars from the remaining pastry and place on top of the pies.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
