Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 3 ¼ cups bread flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast 2 ¼ tsp
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter softened
  • 1 large egg for egg wash

Instructions 

  1. Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add warm milk, heavy cream, and egg. Mix until combined.
  3. Knead in softened butter until dough is smooth.
  4. Let dough rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down dough and shape into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Let rise again for 1 hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Brush top with egg wash and bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
