Main Ingredients
- 3 ¼ cups bread flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast 2 ¼ tsp
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm milk
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 1 large egg
- 4 tablespoon unsalted butter softened
- 1 large egg for egg wash
Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a bowl.
Add warm milk, heavy cream, and egg. Mix until combined.
Knead in softened butter until dough is smooth.
Let dough rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
Punch down dough and shape into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan.
Let rise again for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Brush top with egg wash and bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
