- 1 cup Unsalted Butter softened
- 4 cups Powdered Sugar sifted
- 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest finely grated
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 tablespoons Heavy Cream as needed
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy and smooth.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Beat until well combined.
If the frosting is too thick, add heavy cream, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
Beat the frosting for an additional 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
