  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or just until set. Cool on wire racks.
