Ingredients 

Madeleine Batter

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour sifted
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup milk room temperature

Chocolate Dip

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips melted

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour your madeleine pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until pale and thick.
  3. Gently fold in the sifted flour and baking powder.
  4. Stir in the melted butter, vanilla extract, and milk until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the prepared madeleine pan, filling each mold about ¾ full.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers spring back when lightly touched.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  8. Once the madeleines are completely cool, dip each one in melted chocolate and place on parchment paper to set.
