Ingredients 

Focaccia Dough

  • 500 g All-purpose flour
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 350 ml Warm water
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Toppings

  • 2 large Onions sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 150 g Goat cheese crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh thyme chopped

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. 2. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  3. 3. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Spread the dough onto a baking sheet, creating dimples with your fingers.
  4. 4. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
  5. 5. Spread caramelized onions over the dough. Sprinkle with crumbled goat cheese and fresh thyme.
  6. 6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
