- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk warmed
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 2 ¼ teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter browned
- 2 tablespoon fresh sage chopped
In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat until browned. Add chopped sage and cook for another minute.
Pour the brown butter and sage into the dough and knead until smooth.
Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Shape the dough into rolls and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
