Whole Wheat Veggie Stromboli Recipe

Dough
- 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 cup Warm Water
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Active Dry Yeast
Filling
- 1 cup Bell Peppers, diced
- 1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup Spinach, chopped
- 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- ½ cup Marinara Sauce
1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
2. Add whole wheat flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Let it rise for 1 hour.
3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread marinara sauce, then add bell peppers, mushrooms, spinach, and mozzarella cheese.
5. Roll the dough tightly into a log. Place it on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
6. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
