Ingredients 

Cupcake Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoon Red food coloring

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil. Mix well.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth. Add red food coloring and mix until evenly colored.
  5. Pour the batter into the cupcake liners, filling each about ⅔ full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool before frosting.
