Cake Ingredients
- 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter softened
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
Cream Cheese Filling
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 0.5 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir into the batter alternately with the buttermilk. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the batter in the pan. Pour the remaining batter over the cream cheese layer.
Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
