Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, sugar, garlic, and ginger to make the teriyaki sauce.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
4. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the sauce thickens and glazes the chicken.
5. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
