Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 2 teaspoon Active dry yeast

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. 2. In a separate bowl, mix the warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  3. 3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. 5. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. 6. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  7. 7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten with a rolling pin into a thin circle.
  8. 8. Place the dough circles on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes or until the bread is puffed and lightly browned.
  9. 9. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
