- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 large egg
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.
