- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pre-baked pie crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually whisk in the milk and cream until smooth.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Pour the filling into the pre-baked pie crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is lightly browned.
Let the pie cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
