  • 4 cups Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Add water and mix until smooth.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in strawberries, lemon juice, and vanilla extract.
  4. Let the mixture cool before using it as a pie filling.
