Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries, chopped
  • ¼ cup Sliced almonds
  • cup Heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gently fold in the strawberries and almonds.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Add this to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and shape into a circle about 1 inch thick. Cut into 8 wedges.
  7. Place the wedges on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
