  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. Add vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat until well blended.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool before serving.
