  • 2 cups Cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a cast iron skillet with a bit of vegetable oil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, salt, and baking soda. Stir in the buttermilk until well mixed.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared skillet. Drizzle the top with the remaining vegetable oil.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
