Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Add baking soda and salt, mix well.
  4. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
  5. Flatten each ball with a fork, making a crisscross pattern.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are golden.
  7. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
