Main Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts pecans or walnuts
- 1 cup powdered sugar for rolling
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and ½ cup powdered sugar until smooth. Stir in the vanilla.
Gradually blend in the flour and salt. Mix in the chopped nuts. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes in the preheated oven, until cookies are set but not brown.
When cool enough to handle but still warm, roll cookies in the remaining powdered sugar. Once fully cooled, roll them in powdered sugar again.
