Ingredients 

Cupcake Batter

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk

Cinnamon-Sugar Topping

  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners. Mix the cinnamon and sugar for the topping and sprinkle over each cupcake.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool before serving.
