Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Butter softened
- 1.5 cups Sugar
- 2 units Eggs
- 2.75 cups All-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon Cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt
- 2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 0.25 cup Sugar for topping
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and 1.5 cups of sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
In a small bowl, combine the remaining 0.25 cup of sugar and the cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the dough.
Bake for 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
