Shepherd's Pie Recipe

Ingredients 

Filling

  • 500 g Minced Lamb
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Frozen Peas and Carrots

Topping

  • 4 Potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • ½ cup Cheddar Cheese, grated

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook minced lamb until browned. Add onion and garlic, cook until soft.
  3. Stir in tomato paste and beef broth. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add peas and carrots.
  4. Meanwhile, boil potatoes until tender. Mash with milk and butter.
  5. Spread meat mixture in a baking dish. Top with mashed potatoes and cheese.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
