Ingredients 

Frosting Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 units egg whites large
  • ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Combine sugar, egg whites, cream of tartar, salt, and water in the top of a double boiler. Beat with a hand mixer for 1 minute.
  2. Place over boiling water and beat constantly on high speed for 7 minutes until stiff peaks form.
  3. Remove from heat and beat in vanilla extract.
