- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup Unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup Granulated sugar
- ½ cup Brown sugar, packed
- 1 large Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon Red food coloring
- 1 cup Chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.
In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring; mix well.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes; transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
