Ingredients

  • 2 cups raspberries fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch optional, for thickening

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine raspberries, sugar, and lemon juice.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until raspberries break down and sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
  3. If using cornstarch, dissolve it in a little water and add to the sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  4. Strain the sauce through a strainer to remove seeds, if desired.
  5. Let cool before serving. Enjoy!
