Ingredients 

Macaron Shells

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 ¾ cups powdered sugar
  • 3 large egg whites room temperature
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • ½ teaspoon rose water
  • Pink food coloring

Filling

  • ½ cup raspberry jam

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Sift almond flour and powdered sugar together.
  3. Beat egg whites until foamy, add cream of tartar, and beat until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add granulated sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold in almond flour mixture, rose water, and food coloring until batter flows like lava.
  6. Pipe small rounds onto baking sheets. Tap sheets to release air bubbles.
  7. Let sit for 30 minutes to form a skin.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes. Cool completely.
  9. Sandwich macarons with raspberry jam.
