  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, cold cut into small cubes
  • ¾ cup Ice water add more if needed

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt.
  2. 2. Add the cold butter cubes and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3. Gradually add ice water, mixing until the dough comes together.
  4. 4. Shape the dough into a rectangle, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. 5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle.
  6. 6. Fold the dough into thirds, like a letter, and roll out again. Repeat this process 5-6 times.
  7. 7. Wrap the dough in plastic and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using.
