Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Milk warmed
  • ½ cup Butter melted
  • 3 Eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. 2. In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. 3. Add the melted butter and beaten eggs to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  4. 4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. 5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. 6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 2 hours or until doubled in size.
  7. 7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. 8. Punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf. Place it in a greased baking pan.
  9. 9. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. 10. Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.
