Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the pineapple.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.
