Ingredients 

Crust

  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter cold, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons ice water

Filling

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 large eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
  3. Press the dough into a tart pan. Bake for 15 minutes, then let cool.
  4. In another bowl, mix corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir in pecans.
  5. Pour the filling into the cooled crust. Bake for 35 minutes or until set.
  6. Let the tart cool before serving.
