  • ½ cup butter softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter, butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well blended.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the peanut butter mixture. Mix in the oats and chocolate chips.
  5. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are golden. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
