Cake Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Boiling water

Frosting Ingredients

  • 1 cup Peanut butter
  • 0.5 cup Butter, softened
  • 2 cups Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla to the flour mixture and mix until well combined. Stir in the boiling water last. The batter will be thin.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. For the frosting, beat together the peanut butter and butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until well blended. Add milk and beat until the frosting is fluffy.
  6. Once the cake is completely cool, spread the frosting evenly over the top. Enjoy!
