  • 8 cups bread, cubed day-old or slightly stale
  • 2 cups ham, diced
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups milk
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Instructions 

  1. 1. Grease a baking dish.
  2. 2. Layer the bread cubes, ham, and cheese in the dish.
  3. 3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, salt, and pepper.
  4. 4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread mixture.
  5. 5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
