Main Ingredients
- 8 cups bread, cubed day-old or slightly stale
- 2 cups ham, diced
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups milk
- 8 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
1. Grease a baking dish.
2. Layer the bread cubes, ham, and cheese in the dish.
3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, salt, and pepper.
4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread mixture.
5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
7. Bake for 60 minutes or until set and golden brown.
8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
