Orange Cookies With Chocolate Ganache

Cookies
- 1 cup Butter softened
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 units Eggs
- 1 tablespoon Orange zest
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
Ganache
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 8 oz Dark chocolate chopped
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in orange zest.
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
For ganache, heat cream in a saucepan until just boiling. Pour over chopped chocolate and stir until smooth.
Once cookies are cool, dip the tops in ganache and let set.
