Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1.5 cups M&Ms

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and cinnamon. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in the oats and M&Ms.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
