Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups crushed Ritz crackers
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 unbaked pie crust

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and cream of tartar. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add lemon juice and simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Place crushed Ritz crackers in the pie crust.
  5. Pour the syrup mixture over the crackers.
  6. Sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with butter.
  7. Cover with top crust and bake for 30 minutes.
