Ingredients 

Brownie Batter

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Cheesecake Swirl

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoon instant coffee granules dissolved in 1 teaspoon hot water

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, and mix well.
  3. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined. Pour into prepared pan.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg and dissolved coffee, and mix until well combined.
  5. Dollop cheesecake mixture over brownie batter. Swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
