Mincemeat Pie Filling
- 1 lb Beef suet finely chopped
- 2 cups Raisins
- 2 cups Currants
- 1 cup Brown sugar packed
- 1 cup Apple peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 cup Brandy
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon ground
- 1 teaspoon Nutmeg ground
- 1 teaspoon Cloves ground
- 1 teaspoon Allspice ground
1. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients.
2. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and the fruit is tender, about 1 hour.
3. Let cool completely before using as a pie filling.
