Ingredients 

Mincemeat Pie Filling

  • 1 lb Beef suet finely chopped
  • 2 cups Raisins
  • 2 cups Currants
  • 1 cup Brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup Apple peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 cup Brandy
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon ground
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg ground
  • 1 teaspoon Cloves ground
  • 1 teaspoon Allspice ground

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients.
  2. 2. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and the fruit is tender, about 1 hour.
  3. 3. Let cool completely before using as a pie filling.
