Ingredients 

Cookies

  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Maple syrup
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Cream Filling

  • ½ cup Butter softened
  • 1 ½ cups Powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup Maple syrup

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the maple syrup.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.
  5. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
  6. For the cream filling, beat together the butter, powdered sugar, and maple syrup until smooth. Spread filling on the flat side of half the cookies; top with remaining cookies.
