Ingredients 

Cupcake Batter

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup maple syrup
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with flour.
  5. Fold in maple syrup and bacon.
  6. Fill cupcake liners ⅔ full. Bake for 18-20 minutes.
  7. Let cool before frosting.
