Main Ingredients
- 2 ¼ teaspoon active dry yeast
- ¾ cup lukewarm milk
- 3 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs room temperature
- 1 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups pearl sugar
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
Add the sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture. Stir to combine.
Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
Preheat your waffle iron. Gently fold the pearl sugar into the dough.
Divide the dough into portions and cook in the preheated waffle iron until golden brown and caramelized, about 3-5 minutes per waffle.
Serve warm and enjoy!
