Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, poppy seeds, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk, vegetable oil, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
