Ingredients

  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 cup Warm Water About 110°F
  • ¼ cup Honey
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add honey, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir to combine.
  3. Gradually add whole wheat flour and all-purpose flour. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
