Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups bread flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions 

  1. Mix warm water and honey in a bowl. Add yeast and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, combine bread flour, rolled oats, and salt.
  3. Add yeast mixture and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Punch down the dough, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
