Honduran Baleadas Recipe
A traditional Honduran dish made with flour tortillas, refried beans, and various toppings.

Main Ingredients
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 3 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- ¾ cup Warm water
- 2 cups Refried beans
- 1 cup Crumbled cheese (queso fresco or feta)
- ½ cup Sour cream
- 1 cup Sliced avocado
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add vegetable oil and warm water, mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, then let it rest for 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
On a floured surface, roll each ball into a thin circle.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each tortilla for about 1-2 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
Spread refried beans on each tortilla, then top with cheese, sour cream, and avocado slices.
Fold the tortillas in half and serve warm.
