Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • ¾ cup Warm water
  • 2 cups Refried beans
  • 1 cup Crumbled cheese (queso fresco or feta)
  • ½ cup Sour cream
  • 1 cup Sliced avocado

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add vegetable oil and warm water, mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, then let it rest for 15 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
  5. On a floured surface, roll each ball into a thin circle.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each tortilla for about 1-2 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
  7. Spread refried beans on each tortilla, then top with cheese, sour cream, and avocado slices.
  8. Fold the tortillas in half and serve warm.
