Ingredients 

Pastry Dough

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • ¼ cup Ice water
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Filling

  • ½ cup Jam or fruit preserves any flavor

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually add ice water, mixing just until the dough comes together.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  6. Place a spoonful of jam or fruit preserves in the center of each rectangle.
  7. Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges to seal.
  8. Place pastries on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
