  • 4 cups bread, cubed stale or day-old bread works best
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or your choice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs, chopped parsley, thyme, or your choice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and heavy cream.
  3. Add the cubed bread, shredded cheese, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.
