Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1.5 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. 2. Gradually add the warm water and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased baking pan.
  6. 6. Bake for 45 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  7. 7. Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
